NJ MADISON — Madison zoning board approves two residential variance applications with stormwater conditions. Chairman Joseph Santoro presided as the board voted 7-0 to approve a variance for John Hartnett at 11 Harwood for an 18-foot by 36-foot in-ground swimming pool, patio, and retaining walls with applicant agreeing to enhanced drainage improvements including underground chambers, roof-leader interception, and a trench drain across the driveway. The board also approved a variance for Sullivan at 53 Knollwood Avenue for a residential addition on a 7-0 vote.
Both approvals came with conditions addressing the borough's newly adopted Best Management Practice standards for stormwater management and drainage.
