Zoning Board of Adjustment · Meeting of July 9, 2026
NJ MADISON — Madison zoning board approved two residential improvement projects on revised plans while deferring a third pending drainage investigation. The board unanimously approved a covered patio at 5 Highland Avenue with strengthened stormwater management including three dry wells; principal building coverage will rise to approximately 14.9 percent and total impervious coverage to approximately 5,820 square feet. The board also unanimously approved a residential addition at 11 West End Avenue on an undersized 7,612-square-foot lot, with impervious coverage of approximately 35.1 percent compared with a prior approval of 34.7 percent.
A deck project at 21 Stafford Drive was continued to August 13 after the board identified an unresolved underground roof-drainage system from prior renovation. Board Attorney Gary Hall announced his retirement effective after the August meeting, with attorney Elise Hubbard selected as successor.
