NJ MADISON — Shade Tree Board orders 90 trees for spring, advances removal projects. The Shade Tree Management Board approved a spring planting of 90 trees including 30 in the 1-inch caliper range, with board members directed to identify locations once snow melts. Vice Chair Judy Honohan will submit the order; member Chris Schorr was assigned to purchase 50 Red Oak seedlings for Arbor Day giveaway on Saturday, May 2.
Arborist Rich Wolowicz will report this week on 11 Garfield, a forested property with 53 trees potentially slated for removal. A special meeting on March 2 at 7 p.m. will review Waverly Place reconstruction, which includes tree removal.
