Madison committee hears TerraCycle pitch on waste recycling

NJ MADISON — Madison sustainability committee welcomes TerraCycle presentation and advances spring projects. The Sustainable Madison Advisory Committee, chaired by Kathi Caccavale, met March 17 with limited attendance to hear from Kaela Lansinger, a Madison resident employed by TerraCycle, about hard-to-recycle waste programs. The committee is moving forward with April plantings through its Trees for Schools grant at Madison High School, the junior school, and Central Avenue School.
A $10,000 electric landscaping equipment grant has arrived after procurement delays, and the committee is pursuing additional grants including a $2,000 native shrub swap proposal pending PSE&G decision.
