Range, Melissa Honohan, and Debra Coen (Council Member Thomas Haralampoudis absent) backed the acquisition, which resolved litigation with Drew University over environmentally sensitive property serving as a sole-source aquifer recharge zone and endangered Indiana bat habitat. The council unanimously adopted four additional ordinances totaling $700,000 for Hartley Dodge Memorial renovations and Rosedale Field improvements. The council also approved 13 resolutions, including a $250,000 grant application to the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs for Madison Community Pool water leak repairs.
