NJ MADISON — Environmental Commission sets July 25 deadline for 3 Giralda redevelopment comments. The Madison commission, which met virtually with six members present, learned that Department of Public Works equipment procured through a grant is now in use for the Quiet Summer initiative, and that the YMCA and Grace Church have paused gas leaf blower operations. Chairperson Claire Whitcomb will coordinate with the Health Board on implementing state law requiring restaurant recycling as a condition of license renewal.
The commission plans drought and water conservation education for an upcoming newsletter ahead of mandatory restrictions implemented by the Borough.
