Environmental Commission plans spring tree trial, reviews site concerns

NJ MADISON — Madison Environmental Commission addresses site plan concerns and spring tree planting initiatives. The commission reviewed two development applications, raising concerns about energy compliance and a 53-tree clearcutting proposal at 203 Green Ave. Amner Deleon of Blue Sky Green Earth detailed four years of business growth using battery-operated leaf blowers and will assist in discussions regarding a gas-powered leaf blower ordinance.

The commission will submit 90 trees for spring planting, including 30 smaller trees, while commission member Blair Conley reported volunteer invasive-removal days scheduled for April 11-12, recruiting local residents and college students.
