Committee coordinates school solar project, addresses storm-damaged trees

NJ MADISON — Sustainable Madison committee advances school solar planning, manages response to storm-damaged trees. School Board Liaison David Duran reported the district is preparing to release a solar power purchase agreement request for proposals this fall. A July 3 storm prompted the Department of Public Works to identify 28 locations requiring tree or electrical work.

The Madison Environmental Commission reported the Toll Brothers redevelopment at 3 Giralda Farms is advancing to the Planning Board with approximately 230 trees proposed for removal.
