Board demands Florham Park provide 52 replacement trees

NJ MADISON — Madison Shade Tree Board formally demands 52 replacement trees from Florham Park. The board met April 16, with Chair Gene Cracovia presiding over the hybrid meeting. Florham Park removed 10 trees while building an access road along the municipal border, but Madison's ordinance requires 52 replacements; the board sought either the full 52 trees or 25-35 trees at 2.5-inch caliper with maintenance guarantee.
The board also formally opposed a proposed 203 Green Avenue subdivision involving clear-cutting of 58 trees, 37 of which retain significant environmental benefit, and approved $5,000 for one round of watering.
